Penguins CAN Fly

Recently I was stuck somewhere waiting with my I-pad and one of my favorite apps--Penultimate.  I had just seen a Discovery Channel film that featured penguins playing in big waves.  My childish rendition is shown here.  Today I received an email from a thought group regarding societal and human development called Spiral Dynamics Integral.  The video below shows a clip of the very same penguins.

Set to the song "What a Wonderful World" enjoy the beautiful photography and a familiar and heartwarming tune.  www.youtube.com/embed/auSo1MyWf8g?rel=0
How can we all expand our vision of the world and think of the beauty and connectedness we all have on this small blue ball called Earth?  Neil Armstrong died recently and wanted to be buried at sea.  He made the blue ball reference famous. NASA's Hubble I spacecraft is still going after 15 years and radio messages take 16 hours to get back to earth.  Its' plutonium power is expected to run out in 10 more years.  NOW THAT"S A LONG TERM VISION.

With all the political rhetoric of late--LONG TERM VISION is in short supply.  I'm talking about a vision that lasts longer than an individual lifetime.  We are at a time in history when the population is growing and the world is getting smaller yet people for the most part are not really doing things much differently.  This reminds me of a bumper sticker--"Think Globally and Act Locally".  What would that look like for us?
