Fork In The Road

At a recent conference in Nashville, Ed, a therapist, asked if i would drive him up the road to pick up some medication he needed since he left it at home.  Ed and I go a ways back and he is one of those people who is chock-full of intelligent humor and sweet and meaningful anecdotes.  Hence, the rest of the story about the Yogi Berra saying.
Come to find out, according to Ed, Yogi lived on a cul-de-sac which one could enter from the left or the right.  Since it did not matter which way you went you would end up getting where you wanted to go. He was fond of saying "when you come to the fork in the road--take it".

As it turned out Ed had not left his medication at home he had only misplaced it. I howled with laughter upon hearing that since really, for me anyway, it did not matter where we were going I was getting to spend some one-on-one time with a cherished friend--that was my fork in the road;-)

Isn't that the way many things are really?  As long as you have faith that you are on the right road that is...

Thanks Ed!
